Little Gatherings

Hi, I’m Sof 🤎 and I’m the creator behind Little Gatherings.

Little Gatherings was created from the idea of generating meaningful spaces for little ones and their families to connect, play in nature, explore through the senses, and build a small community that feels like gathering together to share the beautiful early years of childhood.

I’ve always been drawn to children, creativity and the emotional world of play and human connection. Over the past 12 years, I’ve worked with children and families around the world in a variety of roles, including early childhood education as a kindergarten and drama teacher, facilitating creative art workshops, nannying and supporting families, and training as a hospital clown bringing play, imagination and joy during difficult moments.

These experiences have shaped the way I approach childhood and community, with a strong belief in the importance of creativity, nature, emotional wellbeing and open-ended play in early years development.

Inspired by slow childhood moments and sensory-rich experiences, Little Gatherings was created as a gentle and welcoming space where children can explore freely through art, sensory play and imaginative activities, while families can slow down, connect and build community together.

What began as a small idea has grown into a project created with warmth, intention and connection at its centre.
